"The essence of all religions is one. Only their approaches are different." - Mahatma Gandhi

Welcome to our Religious Education (RE) curriculum page. At Hurst Primary, we recognise the importance of understanding and respecting the diverse religious beliefs and practices that shape our world.

Our RE curriculum is designed to promote understanding, tolerance, and empathy among pupils, fostering a sense of unity and respect for all faiths and cultures.

As a school, we follow the Bexley RE Syllabus and through thought-provoking discussions, explorations of sacred texts, and engaging activities, pupils learn about the beliefs, rituals, and traditions of major world religions as well as ethical and philosophical questions.

We provide a safe and inclusive environment where pupils can explore their own beliefs, ask questions, and develop their spiritual and moral awareness.

Please find below the subject vision, whole school long-term plan, concept road map and an example of a medium-term plan.
