"It's not about being the best. It's about being better than you were yesterday."- David Weir
Welcome to our Physical Education (PE) curriculum page. At Hurst Primary, we believe in the fundamental importance of physical activity for the holistic development of every pupil.
Our PE curriculum is designed to inspire a lifelong love of movement, promote health and wellbeing, and instill values of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Through a diverse range of activities including games, sports, gymnastics, dance, and outdoor pursuits, pupils develop fundamental movement skills, physical literacy, and confidence in their abilities.
We provide opportunities for pupils to engage in both competitive and non-competitive activities, encouraging participation and enjoyment for all.
Our teachers foster a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils can challenge themselves, set personal goals, and celebrate achievements through PE lessons and in sporting teams representing the school in the wider community.
